Faes and Foes

The Points Systems
In my story, "Faes and Foes," there are two main point systems. On this page of the website, those point systems will be explained here.
Love Interest Point System

There are three main love interests in Faes & Foes:
Arden, Baron, and Lysander/Lysandra.
Throughout the story, certain choices will give you romance points for the love interest you support. These points track how your relationship develops over time and can unlock content as you progress.

How the points work
When you choose an option that benefits a love interest, you’ll earn points for that character.
After you make a choice, an overlay will appear showing which love interest earned points and how many.

What points unlock
A higher number of points with a specific love interest
increases your chances of unlocking:
-
Bonus scenes
-
Special dialogue and reactions
-
Character backstory
-
Difference in style of banter or conflict outcomes
-
Good/bad character endings

When choices become more impactful
As you learn about each love interest throughout the first half of Season 1, your decisions will become more meaningful and impactful in the second half of Season 1 and throughout Season 2.

Endgame lock
Around Episodes 40–45 (final episode number TBD, but roughly the end of Season 2), the love interest with the most total points will lock as your endgame. That character will remain your chosen route for the rest of Season 3.

Important notes
-
No choices will ever subtract points from any love interest.
-
Your choices do matter, and your points will carry across episodes.

An example of what these choices will look like is shown below:

Multiple Endings Point System
Your choices will also shape the story’s outcome. Three forces called Balance, Chaos, and Power will direct which path you will take. They track the kind of leader Josie becomes and the way the realm changes in response to her actions.
How the points work
When you make a golden choice, it may affect one of the three forces. An overlay will appear on screen after you've made a choice. The overlays that corresponds to the specific force are shown below.
Some choices will affect these forces, some won’t.
What points unlock
The patterns of your choices determine:
• The ending Josie experiences at the conclusion of the story
• Differences in relationships and alliances
• Variations in character reactions and dialogue
• Outcomes of battles, negotiations, and conflicts
• The overall tone of the realm
When choices become more impactful
As you progress through the episodes and seasons, your decisions will have more weight in later episodes (as points will be worth more). Early choices, like in Season 1, for example, will be worth fewer points (1 or 2), but later choices, like in Season 3, will be worth more points (4 or 5).
Endgame lock
At the conclusion of the story (towards the end of Season 3, final episode number(s) TBD), your final ending will be determined, and that path will lock. Depending on which force has the highest number of points, the final few episodes will adjust accordingly to reflect the choices you have made throughout the story.
Important notes
• No choices will result in a sudden “bad ending” or trap.
• There is no single “right” path, and you are not punished for choosing differently.
• Remember: Your choices will be remembered in the story.
